Relinquishment Deed
A Relinquishment Deed is a legal document where a person voluntarily gives up or surrenders their ownership rights or share in a property to another person, usually a co-owner or legal heir. This helps consolidate ownership by transferring the relinquished rights to the other party.
- Purpose: To transfer ownership rights without sale or exchange of money.
- Common Use: Among family members during inheritance, or when one co-owner wants to give up their share.
- Legal Effect: Once executed and registered, the relinquisher no longer holds any rights in the property.
